Henry Mahler-Nakashima
Henry Mahler Nakashima is a social justice activist from Brazil whose work highlights state-sanctioned exploitation of indigenous land and people in Brazil. From a decolonial lens, he links colonial ideas of “progress”, “modernisation” etc. to ongoing injustices. His work emphasizes the importance of centering indigenous voices on issues pertaining to environmental justice and climate change; and emphasizes the need for an inclusive, unbiased research on indigenous history.

Yolanda Dyantyi
Yolanda’s story is a powerful exploration of the fight for ugender equality and equity; the fight against patriarchy, rape culture, and structuralr racism. It highlights the importance of community, connection, and unlearning norms and underscores the urgent need to collectively address femicide and violence against women wherever it might occur.

Lusi Mahote
Lusi is a South African trans woman, artist, and changemaker, who uses art and digital media to create awareness about social injustices affecting the South African Trans and Queer community. In this story we shed light on how she uses these tools and digital platforms to foster community and well being for queer and trans communities. The story emphasizes the need for safer spaces for trans individuals to thrive without fear of discrimination both online and offline.

Thabo Thindi
Thabo Thindi… is a South African Artist and film maker. The story, draws from Thabo Thindi’s intervention called “Black Faces in White? Space,” and explores the effects of systemic racism on black people in Germany. It emphasizes the role of art in raising awareness, encouraging critical introspection, and promoting inclusivity and justice.

Djiff Djimeli
Djiff Djimeli, a Cameroonian activist and film maker, raises awareness about climate change and EU policies impacting migration in West African countries like Mali. He emphasizes migration as an integral experience and explores themes of community, transparency, and solidarity as ways of challenging and opposing powers & structures that perpetuate these injustices.
